On May 9, 2025, a working meeting was held between the research teams of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and Tongji University, Shanghai, in connection with the implementation of the bilateral project No. КП-06-ИП Китай / 4 from December 16, 2024. The project is titled “Innovative Solutions for Energy and Product Recovery from Biodegradable Waste” and is funded by the National Science Fund at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria.

On April 23–24, 2025, the final meeting of the European project PROMISCES took place in Orléans, France, hosted by the French Geological Institute – BRGM. The event was attended by the team of Sofia University, represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Evgeniya Benova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jovana Todorova, and Chief Assist. Prof. Dr. Plamena Marinova from the Clean & Circle Competence Center.

On May 16, 2025, the Clean & Circle Competence Center participated in BioFest 2025, held at the Faculty of Biology, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". The event aimed to introduce prospective students, current students, PhD candidates, and the general public to the activities of the faculty's departments and independent units.

During the week of Earth Day, a small grove of pine trees was planted in front of the newly constructed Clean & Circle Competence Center, reflecting this year’s campaign motto: “Our Power, Our Planet.”
