On 21 July 2026, a member of the Centre’s team was awarded her doctoral degree at the Clean&Circle building. Dr Magdalena Bogdanova holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomanagement and Sustainable Development from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and a master’s degree in Tourism Management from New Bulgarian University. During her bachelor’s studies, she participated in an Erasmus+ student mobility programme at Université de Strasbourg.

On 13 July 2026, the Clean&Circle Centre of Competence, in cooperation with the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IOCCP–BAS), organised a scientific seminar featuring Prof. Dr Christian Betzel from the University of Hamburg, Germany. The event brought together scientists, doctoral students, and early-career researchers, who had the opportunity to learn about contemporary applications of serial crystallography and its importance for the development of new molecules.

The month of June was filled with intensive events and productive meetings for the Clean&Circle Center of Competence. One of them was the International Workshop & Summer School on Plasma Physics (IWSSPP), traditionally held every two years in Kiten.

The fourth meeting of representatives of the partner organisations was held at the Clean&Circle Centre of Competence. During the discussions, significant progress was reported in the number and development of scientific studies—one of the main objectives set by the team at the previous meeting. The partners discussed both the results achieved and the potential practical applications of the scientific developments, as well as future goals, ideas, and plans for the Centre’s development. The meeting was once again opened by the coordinator of Clean&Circle, Assoc. Prof. Dr Ivaylo Yotinov, who emphasised the importance of active cooperation between the partner organisations.
