On 04.07.2025, the Summer Internship in Biological Control and Water Treatment for students from the MSc program "Environmental Biotechnology" was completed, as well as the internships for MSc programs "Applied Hydrobiology and Aquaculture", "Eco-management" and "Bio-business and Bio-entrepreneurship". The internship was divided into 2 modules related to: 1/ technologies for treatment and purification of drinking water, wastewater, and waste, as well as control of technological processes; 2/ environmental monitoring of water, sediments, and air. The internship was organized by lecturers from the Department of General and Applied Hydrobiology of the Faculty of Biology at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and researchers from the Center of Competence Clean&Circle.

On June 3, 2025, the team from the Center of Competence “Clean & Circle” at the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry – BAS took part in the fifth edition of the “Science for Business” forum, held at the Congress Center of Inter Expo Center, Sofia.

On June 17, 2025, a key working meeting of the research team from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" — the lead partner in the project — was held at the newly built Clean&Circle Center of Competence. The meeting took place in the modern conference room of the Center and focused on the coordination and planning of project activities aimed at developing sustainable and innovative technologies in the fields of water, waste, and energy.

Assoc. Prof. Husein Yemendzhiev, researcher at the Centre of Competence “Clean Technologies for a Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for a Circular Economy” and Deputy Chair of the Clean&Circle association, took part in the panel discussion “Green Solutions for Bulgaria – Investing in a Sustainable Future” at the Green Transition Forum 2025. The panel, organized in partnership with the MOVE.BG platform, brought together leading experts, innovators, and entrepreneurs in the field of sustainable development.
