On 26 November 2025, the Open Day “Discover Clean&Circle” was held, providing an opportunity for a wide range of visitors – representatives of the academic community, business, public institutions, and students – to become closely acquainted with the modern laboratories, experimental zones, and high-tech infrastructure developed in the fields of clean technologies, the circular economy, and sustainable resource management. The event aimed to promote scientific achievements and the practical applications of innovations developed within the Clean&Circle initiative.

At a gala ceremony held at the Event Center – Paradise Mall, the building of the Clean&Circle Competence Center of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” received the prestigious award “Building of the Year – 2025” in the category “Green Buildings – SCIENCE.” The ceremony was attended by representatives of the investor, including the Vice-Rector of Sofia University, Academician Toni Spassov; the Project Coordinator of the project financed under OP Science and Education for Smart Growth – Prof. Yana Topalova; the building’s designer, Architect Borislav Bogdanov from Amphion Ltd.; the contractor, Stroitel Ltd., represented by Nikolay Nikolov; and the Coordinator of the Competence Center under the National Programme for Research, Innovation and Digitalization in Intelligent Industry and Technologies – Assoc. Prof. Ivaylo Yotinov.

At the end of November, during the Open Day “Discover Clean&Circle”, the Competence Center officially presented its Technology Entrepreneurship Accelerator (TEA) for the first time. At the event, accompanied by demonstrations, presentations, and photo materials, guests had the opportunity to get an up-close look at the new structure that connects scientific developments with their future industrial applications.

Климент Охридски“ участва в престижния национален конкурс „Сграда на годината 2025“ в две категории  - категория „Зелени сгради“ и категория „Социална инфраструктура – наука, култура и образование“. Това е признание за синергията на научно-изследователски, архитектурен и инженерно-строителен подход, реализиран от Софийския университет като инвеститор, архитектурното студио „Амфион“ като проектант и фирма „Строител“ ЕООД като изпълнител.
