On 6 July 2026, a meeting with Prof. Dr. Kostadin Kostadinov of the GIS-Transfer Center Foundation was held at the Clean&Circle Center of Competence. The event was organized at the invitation of the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IOCCP–BAS), one of the center’s key partners. The discussion focused primarily on opportunities for scientific developments to reach the business sector through technology transfer and partnerships with companies.

Throughout the training period, the guest gained insight into the design and the operation of a wide range of plasma devices intended for treatment of liquids, part of the equipment of the Laboratory of Plasma technologies. The trainee also observed a microbiological experiment involving plasma treatment of bacterial cultures and demonstrations of several research instruments and methodologies used by the host institution.

Within the framework of the project “Innovative Solutions for Obtaining Energy and Products through the Utilization of Biodegradable Waste” (KP-06-IP-China 4/16.12.2024), scientists and young researchers from the Faculty of Biology at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” conducted a series of experimental studies aimed at developing sustainable technologies for producing renewable energy from biodegradable waste.

On April 16, 2026, the Clean&Circle Centre of Competence welcomed 26 teachers in the field of vocational education and training (VET) from Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the visit, innovations and applied scientific developments in the Centre’s laboratories were presented, with a focus on circular economy solutions, resource management, and sustainable technologies.
