The month of June was filled with intensive events and productive meetings for the Clean&Circle Center of Competence. One of them was the International Workshop & Summer School on Plasma Physics (IWSSPP), traditionally held every two years in Kiten.

This year, IWSSPP was organized from 8 to 14 June. The Clean&Circle Center of Competence was a co-organizer of the scientific forum.

The event brought together scientists from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, and the USA. The programme was dedicated to three main thematic areas:

• Plasma and materials for nuclear fusion
• Plasma modelling and fundamental research
• Plasma sources, diagnostics, and technologies

As part of the NATO Science for Peace and Security project AEGIS (G7918), a specialized seminar was held: AEGIS Workshop – Advanced Electromagnetic Graphene-based Shields via Plasma-Induced Synthesis, co-organized by the Institute of Plasmas and Nuclear Fusion, Lisbon, Portugal. The workshop included seven invited presentations by leading experts, covering the latest achievements in the field of electromagnetic functional materials, graphene-based technologies, and advanced plasma synthesis. Daily round-table discussions and in-depth scientific exchange among the participants were also held during the seminar, addressing key challenges, emerging opportunities, and future research strategies for the development of next-generation electromagnetic shielding materials.

The activities of the Clean&Circle Center of Competence in the field of plasma technologies were presented through two invited lectures:

• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Plamena Marinova – “PLASMA WASTEWATER TREATMENT FOR AGRICULTURE REUSE”

• Dr. Todor Bogdanov – “WORKING-GAS-DEPENDENT OXIDATIVE EFFECTS OF HIGH-FREQUENCY IMMERSED PLASMA IN A DEOXYRIBOSE MODEL”

The results of joint research with scientists from CEITEC – the Central European Institute of Technology at Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic, with which the Clean&Circle Center of Competence has maintained long-standing and highly productive cooperation, were presented by Dr. Ludmila Cechova in the invited lecture: PLASMA TECHNOLOGIES FOR WATER TREATMENT AND PLANT STRESS MITIGATION

Held every two years since 2005, IWSSPP is an established platform for showcasing young scientists, exchanging knowledge, and creating new international scientific partnerships.
