“Clean technologies for sustainable environment – waters, waste, energy for circular economy“ (Clean&Circle) for creation and development of a Centre of Competence

The Center of Competence "Clean&Circle" is pleased to welcome the visit of Dr. Marija Kovačević and Vuk Radojčić from the „VINČA" Institute of Nuclear Sciences - National Institute of thе Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia.

In the period from March 30 to April 4, Dr. Marija Kovačević and Vuk Radojčić visited the laboratories of the Center of Competence "Clean&Circle". The hosts were Assoc. Prof. Evgenia Benova and Dr. Plamena Marinova, and the cooperation is focused on the field of plasma technologies for water purification in agriculture and methods for assessing the effectiveness of plasma treatment for reducing the toxicity of heavy metals in wastewater.

During their visit, the guests delivered lectures on “Two-Step Laser Synthesis of Ag@TiO₂ for Rhodamine B Degradation” and “Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in Serbian River Systems”. They visited and got acquainted with the work of the laboratories at the Center of Competence “Clean&Circle” and participated in educational demonstrations held at the Plasma Technologies Laboratory.
