The third partner meeting of the Clean&Circle project brought together representatives of the partner organizations at the centre’s building in the “Lozenets” campus of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. During the meeting, significant progress in both scientific and applied activities was reported, with participants discussing achieved results and outlining the next steps for the project’s development in the context of sustainable development and the circular economy. The meeting was opened by the project coordinator Assoc. Prof. Ivaylo Yotinov, who emphasized the importance of effective collaboration between research organizations and universities.
Assoc. Prof. Yotinov also highlighted the need for regular reporting and information exchange among partners to ensure systematic work and consistent project funding.
Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” was represented by Assoc. Prof. Irina Schneider, who presented the progress of the university’s activities, focusing on scientific results and ongoing research within the project. She emphasized the importance of high-quality scientific publications and their contribution to the international visibility of the Clean&Circle project, as well as the role of interdisciplinary approaches in achieving sustainable results.
On behalf of the University of Forestry, Chief Assist. Prof. Aleksandrina Kostadinova presented progress in the development of biofertilizers, soil enhancers, and products from biodegradable materials and composite waste. Significant progress in scientific publications was also reported.

The Institute of Physical Chemistry at BAS was represented by Assoc. Prof. Avdeev, who introduced a new concept for the development of a porous material with insulating properties. The presentation outlined potential applications of the material as well as future directions for its development, demonstrating progress in the project’s research activities.

From the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Assoc. Prof. Vesela Zaharieva presented information on newly appointed researchers within the project. Scientific publications by UACEG were also presented, including papers indexed in Q1 and Q2 journals.

The presentation of the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry – BAS focused on achieved results, particularly the recently held national PRIZTech conference. Prof. Velkova emphasized the importance of the event for disseminating scientific results and strengthening collaboration between the scientific community and practice.

Burgas State University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” was represented online by Assoc. Prof. Husein Yemendzhiev, who reported on the progress achieved during the reporting period and outlined planned steps for the next phase of the project.
From the Institute of Microbiology “Stefan Angelov” – BAS, Prof. Penka Petrova presented progress in scientific research, noting the growing public and media interest in the institute’s latest developments, including upcoming national television coverage.

Cleantech Bulgaria Foundation was represented by Yordan Zdravkov, who presented new ideas for the development of the technology entrepreneurship accelerator. The presentation emphasized the connection between science and business, as well as opportunities for commercialization of scientific results.

Representatives of the Association “Competence Centre Clean Technologies for Circular Economy”, including Administrative Director Angelina Boneva and Prof. Ekaterina Todorova, presented progress in coordination, administrative, and expert activities. Various opportunities for partnerships and participation in research projects involving the association were also discussed.

The meeting provided an opportunity for in-depth dialogue, exchange of good practices, and coordination among all partners. In conclusion, participants reaffirmed their commitment to the successful implementation of the Clean&Circle project and to achieving sustainable results with long-term impact on science, innovation, and society.
