The Clean & Circle Center of Competence welcomed students from the University of Forestry (UF) as part of an educational visit aimed at familiarizing them with real scientific research and innovation activities in the field of circular economy and sustainable resource management. On behalf of UF, the visit was organized by Chief Assistant Prof. Dr. Aleksandrina Kostadinova.
The group was welcomed by members of the center’s team: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Evgenia Benova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivaylo Yotinov, Chief Assistant Prof. Dr. Nora Dinova, and Chief Assistant Prof. Dr. Plamena Marinova, who presented the main areas of work, the research infrastructure, and the ongoing scientific activities.
During the visit, the students took part in laboratory exercises in the plasma technologies laboratory, where they became acquainted with the application of modern methods and high-tech equipment. They also visited other laboratories within the center, covering key areas such as water, waste, and energy—fields of critical importance for sustainable development and contemporary environmental policies.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for direct exposure to a real research environment. The students explored concrete examples of how scientific developments are applied in practice and gained a deeper understanding of the role of innovation in resource management.
The Clean & Circle team demonstrated a high level of professionalism and commitment to the education of future specialists by sharing knowledge, experience, and best practices. Such initiatives contribute to strengthening the link between academic education and scientific research.
The Clean & Circle Center of Competence continues to actively develop partnerships with higher education institutions and to support the education and professional development of young specialists in the field of ecology and sustainable technologies.
