On March 26, 2026, the Clean&Circle Centre of Competence took part in the annual Career Forum organized by the Faculty of Biology at Sofia University. The event brought together students, PhD candidates, lecturers, and young people interested in science and opportunities for professional development in the field of biology and related disciplines.
The Clean&Circle team presented the centre’s activities and main areas of work, attracting visitors’ attention with topics in microbiology, ecology, and biotechnology. At the centre’s booth, participants had the opportunity to explore up close an invisible yet highly significant world — that of microorganisms and the processes that underpin the sustainable management of resources and energy.
A key highlight of Clean&Circle’s participation this year was the presentation of its new internship programme, designed for students and young professionals who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in a real scientific and applied environment. The programme is structured into two main modules: “Clean Technologies and Their Molecular and Functional Mechanisms” and a module focused on soft skills development, including personal and professional management, as well as elements of NLP and life coaching.
The training проходит through three consecutive stages, providing opportunities for gradual development of knowledge and practical skills. The internship begins this spring, with participants assigned according to their experience and level of education.
The programme offers real opportunities for development, including work on bachelor’s and master’s theses, professional growth within Clean&Circle, as well as receiving a certificate after each successfully completed stage.
The centre’s participation in the Career Forum once again highlighted the importance of the connection between education, science, and practice, as well as the role of such initiatives in building the next generation of specialists in the fields of biology and biotechnology.
The Clean&Circle team would like to thank all visitors who showed interest and actively engaged in the discussions, and looks forward to future meetings with young talents motivated to work towards a more sustainable future.
