The National Conference “Natural Resources — Innovative Green Technologies” (PRIZtech), jointly organized by business and academia — by “ALEX 1977” Ltd. in partnership with the Centre of Competence Clean&Circle (Project No. BG16RFPR002-1.014-0015), the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry – BAS, and the Institute of Physical Chemistry “Acad. R. Kaishev” – BAS, was held on 26–27 March 2026 at the Institute of Physical Chemistry – BAS, Sofia.
The event brought together scientists, experts, and industry representatives and laid the foundation for future partnerships and concrete project initiatives. The 40 presentations delivered showcased the achievements of researchers under Project BG16RFPR001-1.001-0014/07.05.2025 “Development of Innovations in Enterprises”, Programme “Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises” 2021–2027; Project BG16RFPR002-1.014-0015 “Centre of Competence ‘Clean Technologies for Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for Circular Economy (Clean&Circle)’” under the Programme “Research, Innovation and Digitalisation for Smart Transformation”; Projects BG-RRP-2.017-0006 and BG-RRP-2.017-0009 – Investment C2.12 “Enhancing the Innovation Capacity of BAS in the Field of Green and Digital Technologies”, Research and Innovation under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
At the round table “Science and Business” held on 27 March 2026, Ms. Lora Yosifova — Head of Sector “PNIIDIT”, Programming Department, General Directorate “European Funds for Competitiveness” at the Ministry of Innovation and Growth — presented opportunities for funding and support for innovation. Participants discussed prospects for cooperation between scientific institutions and businesses for the application of clean technologies in the fields of ecology and medicine.
Representatives of the companies “Alex 1977” Ltd., “BusinessLab” Ltd., “FOT” Ltd., “Diachim-Biotech” Ltd., “Aquachim Projects” Ltd., “Labimex” Ltd., “Grimas Balkan Control” Ltd., “LabTrade Via” Ltd., “Cleantech Bulgaria” Ltd., “RSR” Ltd., “International Eurofunds Consulting” Ltd. and “Prolab Instruments” Ltd. participated with exhibition stands as part of a specialized exhibition held in parallel with the forum. Within the exhibition area, the companies presented the latest equipment, technologies and solutions for conducting scientific research, demonstrating modern instruments and best practices in support of scientific and innovation activities.
The event created opportunities for direct interaction between the business sector and the scientific community, exchange of experience and ideas, as well as discussions on potential partnerships and future joint projects.
