On November 18, the 41st ceremony of inscription in the “Golden Book” of the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria was held at the Presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria. At the event, the most prominent Bulgarian inventors and discoverers were honored. Prof. Pavlina Dolashka, DSc (leading scientist at IOCCP-BAS and researcher at the Center of Competence Clean & Circle) was recognized as a discoverer with her inscription in the “Golden Book” of the Patent Office.
Prof. Dolashka is the author and co-author of 13 industrial property objects in the field of chemistry and pharmacy, 12 of which have been implemented in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products distributed both in Bulgaria and on the international market. The innovative technologies she has developed for obtaining biologically active substances from plant and animal sources—mainly from marine and garden snails—are intended for the treatment of bacterial infectious diseases, tissue regeneration and recovery, as well as for protection against infections. The patented active components extracted from snail mucus have been included in a number of dietary supplements and cosmetic products developed by Bulgarian companies between 2014 and 2022.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev. Among the attendees were the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Acad. Julian Revalski, the President of the Patent Office, Prof. Dr. Vladya Borisova, the President of the European Patent Office, António Campinos, as well as ministers and guests.
