The construction of the new building of the Center of Competence “Clean Technologies for Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste and Energy for Circular Economy” at the Lozenets Campus of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” is progressing at a very fast pace.

This was confirmed by the project coordinator, Prof. Yana Topalova, during an inspection of the construction site. The site manager assured that, with the use of the most modern formwork system (Peri), the completion of the last floor slab of the building will be achieved in the shortest possible time, before the onset of the winter season. With each passing day, the acquisition by Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and the project partners of the most advanced center for clean technologies in the Balkans (or Southeastern Europe) is becoming increasingly real, as well as the fulfillment of the dream of an entire generation of specialists developing ecological biotechnologies and clean technologies. The ultimate goal is a building that itself will function as a modern ecological complex laboratory.
