“Clean technologies for sustainable environment – waters, waste, energy for circular economy“ (Clean&Circle) for creation and development of a Centre of Competence

The team from IOHCF-BAS – Prof. DSc P. Dolashka, Prof. Dr. L. Velkova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. A. Dolashki, Dr. M. Kermedchiev, and A. Stankova – took an active part with a series of scientific presentations at the prestigious international forum 12th International Conference on Materials Science and Engineering, held on 25–26 September 2025 in London. The participants presented the latest results of their research focused on environmental protection, the development of sustainable materials, and the implementation of circular economy principles.

During the conference, the team showcased innovative approaches and technologies developed within the Competence Centre “Clean Technologies for a Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for Circular Economy” (https://www.clean-circle.eu), project No. BG16RFPR002-1.014-0015, funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the programme “Research, Innovation, and Digitalisation for Smart Transformation.” The scientists expressed their gratitude to the Centre for its support, which enables them to develop modern scientific solutions with high practical applicability.

The increased international attention toward their work was further confirmed by the fact that the team received two awards, highlighting the significance and contribution of their scientific results in the field of sustainable development and innovative materials.
