The team from the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences – Prof. Dr. Sci. Pavlina Dolashka, Prof. Lyudmila Velkova, and Aleksandra Stankova – actively participated in the IX Pharmacy Congress with international participation “PharmaceuticAI Science Revolution,” held from October 30 to November 2, 2025, in Borovets. The event brought together scientists, lecturers, specialists from the pharmaceutical sector, and representatives of the business community, who exchanged experience and discussed innovative approaches in modern pharmaceutical science.

During the scientific forum, the participants from IOCCP-BAS presented the results of their research related to the implementation of circular economy principles and the developments carried out within the framework of project BG16RFPR002-1.014-0015 of the Center of Competence “Clean Technologies for Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for a Circular Economy,” funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Bulgarian program “Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Smart Transformation.”

The presented scientific results highlight the significant contribution of the team to the development of sustainable technologies and the application of innovative methods for environmental protection. The research reflects efforts to create environmentally friendly solutions in accordance with the goals of sustainable development and modern approaches to the circular economy, aimed at more efficient resource utilization and reducing the negative impact on nature.
