Project

“Clean technologies for sustainable environment – waters, waste, energy for circular economy“ (Clean&Circle) for creation and development of a Centre of Competence

The team from the Institute of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IOCCP-BAS) – Prof. Dr. Sci. Pavlina Dolashka and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Dolashki – actively participated with scientific presentations at the prestigious international scientific forum “Pharma, Pharmaceutics and Biotechnology Conference”, held from October 8 to October 11, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland. The event brought together leading researchers, industry experts, and representatives of the academic community from various countries, who exchanged knowledge and best practices in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and innovative therapeutic approaches.

During the conference, the Bulgarian scientists presented new research results related to ecology, sustainable development, and the implementation of circular economy models. Their studies are part of the activities of the Center of Competence “Clean Technologies for Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for a Circular Economy” (https://www.clean-circle.eu), project No. BG16RFPR002-1.014-0015, through “Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Smart Transformation”. The presented results once again highlight the importance of a scientific approach in developing sustainable solutions for environmental protection and the processing of bio- and industrial waste.
