Project

“Clean technologies for sustainable environment – waters, waste, energy for circular economy“ (Clean&Circle) for creation and development of a Centre of Competence

The Centre of Competence Clean&Circle has been ranked among the finalists in the category “Innovative Ecosystem of the Year” at the prestigious Triple E Awards 2023. This is a great recognition of Clean&Circle’s efforts to create an innovative ecosystem for sustainable development.

Triple E Awards is a competition focused on outstanding achievements in the fields of ethical entrepreneurship, ecology, sustainability, and gender equality. Its goal is to reward and encourage entrepreneurs who stand out with innovative and sustainable business approaches.

Clean&Circle impressed the jury with its innovative solutions for improving sustainability in water management, waste management, and opportunities for technology transfer from science to business. The Centre’s ranking as a finalist in the category “Innovative Ecosystem of the Year” at the Triple E Awards 2023 gives it a very real chance of winning the category, as it must compete with four other participants from around the world. More than 450 people are expected to attend the final event this year. It will be held from June 26 to 29 in Barcelona, Spain, bringing together entrepreneurs, higher education institutions, and innovation centres from all over the world.

The “Innovative Ecosystem of the Year” category is perhaps the most challenging, as the evaluation considers the number of startups created, patented technologies and innovative solutions, as well as the number of partnerships between the respective centre and businesses. Clean&Circle is performing exceptionally well across all these indicators. The competition organisers have sent us additional questions for clarification, and we are currently preparing our answers.
