The team from the Institute of Organic Chemistry with a Phytochemistry Center – BAS (IOChPC – BAS), a partner of the Competence Center “Clean Technologies for a Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for a Circular Economy,” won project №BG-RRP-2.017-0006-С01/12.12.2024 “Ecological Technology for Converting Waste Biomass into an Innovative Product (Activated Carbon) with Broad Applications (EcoTechProduct),” funded under investment C2.I2 “Enhancing the Innovation Capacity of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) in the Field of Green and Digital Technologies” of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).

On 22.01.2025, a meeting of the research team under the project led by IOChPC–BAS with partner Institute of Physical Chemistry “Acad. R. Kaishev”–BAS (IPCh–BAS) was held.

The “Clean&Circle” Competence Center was established under the Operational Program “Science and Education for Smart Growth” (OP SESG) through the program “Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Smart Transformation” (RIDST).

The meetings reviewed the upcoming activities and expected results, as well as the necessary indicators for achievement. The planned initial experiments and the responsible researchers were also discussed. The implementation of the projects will utilize the newly acquired equipment and the modern material base built at the Clean&Circle Competence Center.
