Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" will host the international conference "Clean Technologies for a Sustainable Environment and Circular Economy." The event will take place on July 5–6, 2023, in the Rectorate Aula of the University.

The conference is part of project BG05M2OP001-1.002-0019-C07 "Clean Technologies for a Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for the Circular Economy," funded by the Operational Program "Science and Education for Smart Growth" 2014–2020, co-financed by the European Union through the European Structural and Investment Funds.

The aim of the conference is to disseminate and promote the team’s achievements in scientific, technological, and investment terms, as well as to showcase the opportunities offered by the newly established Competence Center. Clean & Circle plays a key role in developing advanced clean technologies and biotechnologies, which will be offered for commercialization to industry. Additionally, the Center serves as an educational hub where teams develop STEAM products aimed at education, technology, and socio-economic sectors.

The event will also include discussions and opportunities for creating links between business and science. The conference is targeted at representatives from academia, business, industry, administrative bodies, and other stakeholders involved in clean technologies for a sustainable environment and circular economy.

During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to hold meetings and discussions on topics of common interest in the Conference Hall of Sofia University.
