Science and business join forces in the search for successful green solutions.
The Center of Competence “Clean&Circle” will present its scientific infrastructure, innovative methods, and water treatment technologies through examples of good practice in cooperation with business – with no negative footprint on the environment and with sustainable ecological and economic results. The event is organized by “Sofiyska Voda” AD, part of Veolia and an associate partner of the Center of Competence “Clean&Circle,” on the occasion of World Environment Day.

“This is our time” is the UN’s motto for World Environment Day this year.
“From 0% Waste to 100% Energy. Solutions for the Future.” is an online conference dedicated to the Circular Economy and World Environment Day (June 5). On June 7, 2021, we will explore together the ecological ways through which we can transform the economy into a driver of sustainable development for our environment.
Participants in the event:
✅ Prof. Yana Topalova, Coordinator of the Center of Competence "Clean&Circle," and Dr. Elitsa Peeva (researcher at the Center of Competence "Clean&Circle" and Faculty of Physics, Sofia University)
They will present the opportunities of the project “Clean Technologies for a Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for a Circular Economy” through scientific infrastructure and developed innovative methods that can transform the future of water treatment and turn waste into valuable resources and energy.
