Project

“Clean technologies for sustainable environment – waters, waste, energy for circular economy“ (Clean&Circle) for creation and development of a Centre of Competence

The significant and remarkable number of women in the management and research team of the project “Clean Technologies for Sustainable Environment – Water, Waste, Energy for Circular Economy” celebrated International Women’s Day with a special event.

Women from various fields of science, arts, and business shared their inspiring messages and stories before more than 60 guests of the event: members of the Center of Competence "Clean&Circle" team, students, and the wider public. Among the speakers were: Sasha Bezuhanova (founder of MOVE.BG), Zornitsa Hristova (writer, publisher, translator), Kapka Kaneva (artist), Val Stoeva (Children’s Books Foundation), Madlen Algafari (psychotherapist and writer), Yana Topalova (coordinator of CoC “Clean&Circle”).

Each of them presented her field of work and development, her sources of inspiration and motivation. All expressed their commitment to the goals of the project and provided various examples of how the theme of a clean and sustainable environment is present in their lives and professions. A key message came from the ladies working for the cause of children and books, who reminded us to “translate” the science we create for the little ones – the most loyal allies today in the fight for a cleaner nature.

The meeting concluded with pleasant conversations in the artistic atmosphere of the Polish Institute, against the backdrop of the beautiful photo exhibition “The Colors of the Fog” by Maciej Szymański, accompanied by fine music and a glass of quality wine.
